Today was a semi laid back kinda day. I’m glad we were able to sleep in. Sleep is a very precious commodity these days it seems; “You can sleep in June” is one of the mottos. I wouldn’t want to miss anything by not taking all of the opportunities out there. In the afternoon, the Skillens, three of their grandkids, Peppe, and myself went to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. It was really weird being there after having seen the movie “Night at the Museum”. We saw many awesome exibits ranging from “Space Odessey” to “Gems and Minerals” to “Dinosaurs” Peppe and I took turns pushing around the stroller with one of the grandkids, Dominic, in it. We had lunch at the museum café. I had pizza, a doughnut, and a black cherry vanilla coke (yes, such things exist). I found it interesting that they also sold beer in the museum but didn’t have any tea. We also took in a show called “Cosmic Collisions” in the planetarium. It was short but good. We dropped Peppe off downtown for a staff get together and went to IHOP (International House Of Pancakes) for supper with the kids. It was all good. Tomorrow it looks like we are going to the Denver Museum of Art.
