Soon after I got off the phone with Miranda this morning there was a knock at my door. I wondered “Who could that be?” The strangers at my door identified themselves as Samantha and Kaylee. Long story short I’m now sitting in the parking lot of the Mexican consulate while Yamil is attempting to attain a visa for Thailand. The weather is warm, in the 70°F range again. I was on the phone last night for a good 4 hours with my girl and another hour this morning. I miss her so much, 77 days never seemed so long. I know this summer when I’m back is going to be awesome though. I’m flying out tonight to Brussels at 5:40 PM, arriving around 8:30 in the morning.

Well, here we are at the airport staring at the plane that is to eventually take us across the Atlantic to Brussels. We went to “Chick-a-fil” restaurant for lunch, it was an interesting dining experience. I’d never thought I’d have seen the day where classical music was being played at a fast food joint. My debut card wasn’t working with their system so I used what little American money I had left over from the hotel and was loaned 3$ from Kaylee for their number 1 combo. It was all good™. Samantha was obsessed with their honey mustard sauce; and rightly so, it was probably some of the best I’d ever tasted. Afterwards we went to the UPS store and sent my fiddle to Venice; well, Venice, Florida that is. Tina is planning to play it in the show for the next few weeks while I am on advanced work in the Netherlands. Following that we went back to the Mexican consulate so that Yamil could pick up his new passport so that we could go downtown and get it stamped with his Thai visa before he leaves the US. While he and Samantha were getting the paperwork done, Kaylee and I went for a stroll downtown to Centennial Park and then to the CNN Center. The weather was a bit too warm for my liking but that’s ok, the weather is going to be colder when we hit Europe which is just fine with me. I took lots of pictures of the fountains and the various monuments commemorating the 96’ Olympic Games. Anyhows, after we were dropped of at the airport we checked our bags in. Both of ours were over weight. It was easy for me to get the weight down; I just took out my shoes. We each got our bags down to 50lbs exactly; a high five was definitely in order. Celebrations continued with a trip to Starbucks. Before heading to our gate we exchanged our loose money for some Euros so we won’t starve when we get there. I’m still far more sleepy than need be but I guess I’ll get a chance to snooze on the plane. Its all Good™

Um... who is Jess? No worries, I've always wanted to have an alter-ego.

Good luck on advance work!
