Yesterday was a strange kind of day. I woke up in the morning rather tired and irritated. Having slept a little late, I had missed my bus into Houten and since they were running on the weekend schedule, it was a very long time till the next one. The same went for the trains. When I got to Houten, I decided it would be wise to actually buy a ticket; but alas I had no coins so I went to a bank like building to see if I could get change. I somehow managed to get myself and some other people locked in the glass front of the building. One of the ladies was about to phone the police when I started pressing some buttons on the sliding door mechanism and it opened. I was able to buy a ticket and get on the train. I had to make my own way to Hilversum (which of course wasn’t a problem for me because I have excellent spatial reasoning) and arrived at our temp office before lunch. We worked on finishing the student schedules and double checked the allocation lists before we went to print and copy them at the public broadcasting office where the host mom works. The rest of the day was spent cutting and stapling, and some more cutting and stapling, and then some more printing. We finally finished after 9pm. We worked late so that we could have the Sunday off; which I really needed so I could sleep in for once because next week is going to be the busiest week yet. I thought I was going to make it home but as usual, something had to happen. I had my ticket checked at the train station before I got on the train, then when I was on the train, the ticket checker person said my ticket was invalid so I had to get off at the next station and buy one. Luckily I had enough change to make it to Utrecht where I could buy a ticket using bills. Back At houten I took a bus to Houten Castellum and then walked home. I was quite tired.
