The Continuing

Getting up for my shower at 7am I knew it was going to be a long day. Using the new Nivea for men shampoo and body wash in one that I had bought on sale at the train station last night, I took my shower, then headed up for breakfast. We had once again, cheese, meats, jams, butters, and of course Nutlella on toast. Greg and I took tram #1 across town to our drop off point at the youth center. After morning meeting, I left with my CI group to the church we had visited yesterday. Our task is to collaborate and come up with some ideas to spur on the project “respect is it” to encourage intercultural interaction and awareness in the East Leipzig district. We broke into two groups, one conducting interviews on the topic with the general public on the streets, the other which I was in were to write a song for the inauguration of this endeavor. It came together quite well. For lunch we had a rice stir fry kinda dealio, then we took a tour of the church, the bell tower, and the pipe organ. At 4:30 we headed back to the youth center for wrap up. Tomorrow we are putting on a mini BTS show, my first show in 4 weeks. It should be all good. On the way back to our host family, we stopped for some coffee downtown before jumping back on the tram for home. Back at the house, we had forgotten our key so we phoned to get in. Supper was pizza and we ate with the family. I think we’re really getting along with the kids, though they are an unruly bunch. Before they went to bed, I read them a bedtime story; the Lion King (in English). I myself am pretty tired so I’m listening to the new album from Infected Mushroom to stay awake for now. Miranda is traveling home form university tonight with her mom so I won’t get to talk to her but I’ve been sending txt messages and hoping they’re getting through. I’d also like to give a shout out to my friends in China! Its all Good™
