Sunday, May 13, 2007

Sunday, being our free day, we slept in until about 10:30 and we got up for breakfast because we had two other students, Jorge and Wouter over for breakfast because their host family was busy. I don’t think ever before I’ve had alcohol for breakfast, but I guess its a Danish tradition to have some “Bitter” with breakfast, it was a shot of something quite like black licorice, kinda gross. Also for breakfast we had Real Authentic Danish Danishes; funny thing is they call them “Vienna Bread”. Anyhow, they were pretty sweet anyhow. In the afternoon, after I put some laundry in, we headed to Copenhagen to see the sights. We saw Christania, a lawless intercity community based on ideals spurring from the 60’s, as well as, of course, the little mermaid. We enjoyed some ice cream and Danish Hot dogs before heading back to the house. Supper, shortly after were some meatballs stroganoff and then I set off packing. Scott is very ill and throwing up lots, he’ll probably be up all night, probably the worst night to have picked something up. Ah well, it will be all good I hope.
