Angelo and I woke up early to a break fast of fresh waffles, potato bread with blueberry chipotle jam, bacon and scrambled eggs with onions and mushrooms. We packed our things into the van and both Casey and Francis came to see us off at the Mannatech headquarters. I had decided to dress snappy today for no real reason at all but it seemed to garner some positive attention. I ended up sitting with a few different people during the course of the bus trip. Apparently some incriminating photos of me sleeping with my mouth open were taken by several people on the bus. I decided to have some caffeine so I wouldn’t fall asleep anymore in the afternoon. I had Wendy’s for lunch, #6, the spicy chicken (as if I hadn’t already had enough spicy food so far) It tasted just the same as in Canada; the miracle of globalization and multinational corporations. We began to see dramatic changes in the landscape. It turned from desert to bayou with channels of water traversing every which way. We arrived in Baton Rouge shortly before 6 pm. The weather was nice and warm. We unloaded our luggage at the LSC (Louisiana state college) and waited for our host families. This week I’m staying with the Bailey’s. I don’t have any room mates but that’s just fine with me. My host mom’s name is Nancy. I haven’t yet got her husbands name yet but y’all don’t worry now I’ll get it later. They have 3 children, one lives in Cape Canaveral Florida, they have a daughter, Jane, who is off at college (and who’s room I’m staying in this week), and another son, Paul, who is a high school senior. They are quite happy to have me here. Its going to be an awesome week I can tell. Its all Good™

I don't really care about the flowers ; sorry. they just looked nice.
They were nice! And I wish you'd mail some home! Could use a little taste of spring right about now!
So what! You're not a botanist, but you'd make a great photographer!
Keep the faith!
