Well, today has been going well so far. This morning, my host mom drove me across the city to the Waldou Theatre where we’ll be having the two shows today. In the morning, I helped with setup, then unofficially started my Photography Assistantship, and finally ended the morning with a vocal workshop where I worked on the songs we’re doing specifically for the countries of Sweden and Denmark for the next two weeks. Lunch was a very tasty rice dish as well as some watered down sauerkraut served cold. The afternoon was taken up by warmups, a presentation on Sweden and rehearsal. I can’t describe the most disgusting smell that is currently filling the dressing room the guys are in today. Imagine the smelliest sock you’ve ever smelled; then multiply that by 16 and throw in some axe and the air chokes you. I think today is going well, hopefully we’ll have lots of people to both the shows. I’m on Interviews tonight so I get to skip the big part of strike. I still won’t be allowed to head home to start packing until 12:30 or so.

Well, the shows went well. Its awesome how you can impact so many people in a meaningful way without even know what you are doing. During a few pieces in the show there were a few people in the front row that brought along glow sticks and they waved them back and forth like you might imagine at a rock concert. They were soon joined by all manner of cell phones, iPods, cameras, and open flame lighters; Its an incredible feeling to be a rockstar. Between the two shows I conducted an admissions interview and subsequently was rushed through supper which was some awesome spaghetti. After the second show I was supposed to conduct more interviews but the person I was supposed to interview declined because of the lat hour and the time. She did however apply online and will have a phone interview. I was up till nearly 5:30 am packing. I slept all in all about 45 minutes; definitely not enough but its all good.
