While today for us was supposed to be more of an educational day, it turned out to be more of a show rehearsal day. In the morning, after a breakfast of mango-sticky rice, sticky rice and eggs, and fried chicken on a stick, my host brother put me on a taxi truck, told the driver a few things about where I was going, and about 45 minutes later I arrived at Chaing Mai University Convention center; our Sunday Show facility. In the morning, we did a session on “Expressing the UWP Experience”. I thought most of it was rather unorganized and not terribly useful; maybe because it wasn’t or maybe just because I thought it was common sense. Either way, it was still all good. Speaking of all good; I’m going to be home in less than 10 days! The rest of the day was spent rehearsing for the show, which is understandable because we are expecting to fill the facility to its 5000 people capacity. After host pick up (HPU) ... Which reminds me, I should really stop using all of these “jargon” terms with you, but perhaps if you have been following along for a while, you May now understand the meanings, but I’ll try yo always explain. Anyhow, after my family picked me up, we went to the mall but I can’t tell you what we did there (its a secret, for now ;) ). I can tell you that after that we went out to a great restaurant called “Black Canyon”. Its probably the best restaurant I’ve been to as of yet in Thailand, probably because they also have “western” food. On recommendation by my host brother, I had the Green Curry Fetuccini with a large cappuccino with mocha chip ice cream for dessert. It was delicious. The four of us had a pretty awesome meal for under 15$ CND, which for them is on the higher end of things but still relatively reasonable.
Tomorrow is show day so tonight, again I have no internet to post my blog so I’ll wait until Tuesday back in Bangkok. I’m going to bed early tonight :).
